OGDEN — Aside from green beer, there’s nothing that says St. Patrick’s Day quite like a steaming plate of corned beef and cabbage.
If you’re in the mood to try some traditional Irish fare this Saturday or just need something to soak up the Guinness, here’s a roundup of Ogden and Weber County restaurants offering Irish cuisine this weekend.
When: 5-10 p.m., Friday, March 16, and Saturday, March 17
Location: 225 25th St. in Ogden
There will be two opportunities to enjoy Zucca’s take on the classic corned beef and cabbage during its St. Patrick’s Day celebration. Dine out Friday and Saturday for $20 per person at the downtown Ogden restaurant. Reservations can be made by calling 801-475-7077.
Location: 2550 Washington Blvd. in Ogden
Hours: 11 a.m. to midnight, Monday through Saturday; 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. Sundays
On Friday and Saturday, Harp and Hound will have a special St. Patrick’s Day menu featuring fish and chips, bangers and mash, Irish lamb stew, and corned beef and cabbage. They will also have vegan options for several of the menu items and specialty drinks to celebrate the holiday.
Location: 2570 Washington Blvd. in Ogden
Hours: 3-11 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday; 11 a.m. to midnight, Thursday to Saturday; 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sundays.
The Angry Goat will be serving Irish food throughout the week, including Guinness stew — an Irish beef stew made with a can of dark Guinness beer. They will also be serving shepherd pies, Irish mud pies for dessert, and a specialty “The Luck of the Irish” martini.

Location: 126 125th St. in Ogden
For $18, you can get your fill of all sorts of traditional Irish food Saturday night at the Two Bit Street Cafe in downtown Ogden. The annual St. Patrick’s Day buffet will, of course, feature corned beef and cabbage along with Irish fisherman’s stew, vegetables, soda bread, desserts and much more.
When: 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Saturday, March 17
Location: 3925 E. Snowbasin Road in Huntsville
Cabbage, corned beef and Guinness stew will be in abundance at Snowbasin’s annual St. Patrick’s Day celebration Saturday. Gulp down a green beer and go hunting for pots of gold on the mountain. Live music begins at the Cinnabar at 3:30 p.m.
Locations: 200 Historic 25th St. in Ogden
Hours: 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday; 11 am. to 2 p.m. Friday and Saturday in Ogden.
Looking for a twist on traditional St. Patrick’s Day fare? Head on over to Lucky Slice Pizza for a slice of their “The Corned Beef and Cabbage” pizza.
The pizza is covered in “mustard shallot cream sauce, mozzarella, corned beef, sautéed cabbage, and Irish cheddar finished with a dill sour cream drizzle,” according to a post on Lucky Slice’s Facebook page.
You can order this pizza by the slice or full pie until the end of March.
